If your kids are getting a bit of bored of sandwiches for lunch then you need to try these Chicken & Cheese Pinwheels.

You just need four simple ingredients and can be whipped up for a speedy lunch at home or even made in the morning and added to lunchboxes.

Which Air Fryer Is The Best?

There’s so many different air fryers out there on the market at the moment. Some of the big brand names are expensive but I have been using this Uten 6.5 Litre Air Fryer since last year and I love it.

It’s really big, perfect for family sized meals and fits a whole chicken too!

Chicken & Cheese pinwheels served on a pink plate served with fresh berries, cucumber, carrots and cherry tomatoes.

The ingredients are:

  • Cooked chicken
  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Large tortilla wrap
Ingredients arranged on worktop.

The first step is to add the chicken to a bowl. I use a scissors to chop it up into small pieces but you can also use a knife and chop it on a board.

Then add the grated cheese and mayonnaise and mix well.

Ingredients all added to a mixing bowl.

Spread the chicken mixture onto the wrap.

I find it easier to use a spoon to push it all the way out to the edges.

Topping added to tortilla wrap

Roll the wrap up tightly and then cut into 10 round slices.

Tortilla wrapped up and cut into sections.

Place these in the airfryer and then cook at 180c for 9 minutes.

Pinwheels added to the airfryer ready for cooking.

And that’s literally it!

Delicious cheesy chicken bites ready to eat straight away or to pop into lunchboxes for kids to take to school.

How Do I Cook These Without An Airfryer

If you don’t have any airfryer don’t worry.

You can also cook these in the oven at 180c fan.

Serve them with some chopped fruit and veggies for a balanced lunch for kids.

And for adults I can recommend dipping them in some buffalo sauce for a spicy kit. So delicious!

Could I use Greek yogurt instead of the mayo?

Really tasty and yummy, my little 9ne liked them but 9 mins was a bit long in my airfryer but it’s an easy adjustment for next time and a good way to cook the chicken to get past that texture issue.
