The most delicious homemade crispy chicken burgers. Made with a cornflake coating for extra crunch and oven baked to keep them super healthy.

Making your own homemade chicken burgers that are as crispy as a takeaway burger is honestly so easy! My recipe uses crushed cornflakes with some seasoning for a really crunchy and flavoursome coating.
They contain just a small amount of oil and are oven baked. All the crunch of a chicken burger but not greasy at all.
They are also a really budget friendly recipe to make as you only need two large chicken breasts to make four burgers.

How To Make Crispy Chicken Burgers
The key to these chicken burgers is in the prep. Get all the ingredients set out ready to go. Once the chicken is coated and cooking in the oven all the hard work is done!
The full recipe with measurements is in the recipe card at the bottom of this post but I’ve also included some step by step images here if that’s helpful.

- Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of foil and bash with a rolling pin.

- Then cut the chicken breasts in half so you have four pieces of chicken in total.

- Add flour to one bowl, crack the eggs in to a second bowl and add the cornflakes, oil and seasoning to a third bowl.

- Coat each piece of chicken in the flour, dip in the egg then add the cornflake coating.

Once all the chicken breasts are coated, add to a baking tray and cook in the oven for 30 minutes.
Once cooked, the chicken burgers are ready to assemble with any of your favourite toppings. I like lettuce, tomato and spicy mayo!

How To Freeze Chicken Burgers
These crispy chicken burgers are ideal to batch make and store in the freezer.
Once all the chicken breasts are coated, freeze them flat and individually on a plate or tray until solid. Then transfer to a freezer bag where they can be frozen for up to 1 month.
Cook the chicken burgers directly from frozen, adding approximately 10-12 minutes to the cooking time. Test the internal temperature of the burgers before serving to ensure they reach at least 75c.
