Description
The most delicious homemade crispy chicken burgers. Made with a cornflake coating for extra crunch and oven baked to keep them super healthy.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 40g plain flour
- 2 medium eggs
- 100g cornflakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200c.
- Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of foil and bash with a rolling pin. The aim is to flatten the chicken breasts a little so that they have an even thickness throughout.
- Cut the chicken breasts in half so that you have four pieces of chicken in total.
- Add the flour to a bowl.
- Crack the eggs into a second bowl and whisk with a fork.
- In a third bowl crush the cornflakes with your hand. Add the seasoning and oil and mix well.
- Take one piece of chicken and coat it in the flour. Dip into the egg then place in the bowl with the cornflakes.
- Once the chicken is coated on both sides with the cornflake mixture, place onto a baking tray.
- Repeat with the remaining chicken pieces.
- Bake the chicken burgers for 30 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with burger buns and any other burger toppings that you like.
