It’s time… the dreaded Elf is back!

If you’re one of those unfortunate parents who started this tradition and now spend the whole month of December in deep regret then don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

This is a really simple idea you can make for the kids. Elf On The Shelf Trail Mix.

Bright and colorful card muffin case with snowman and gingerbread men on them full of trail mix.

For this trail mix I used:

  • popcorn
  • pretzels
  • cheetos
  • mini marshmallows
  • magic stars
  • red and green sweets / chocolates
Trail mix in a mixing bowl being prepared.

Simply mix them all in a large bowl and then transfer into individual cups or small bowls.

You could also wrap them up in small plastic bags if you’d prefer the kids not to tuck in straight away!

Trail mix being added to the muffin cases.

This recipe makes 12 small portions so there’s loads left over for the adults too.

I can confirm that it makes a really tasty treat to enjoy in front of the tv once the kids are in bed!

These are the cute Christmas Muffin Cups I used. They come in a pack of 75 so maybe buddy up with some friends and buy them together or you’ll be using them for years to come!
