Quite a few of the Ninja Creami for a couple of recipes I’ve posted lately have been more “treat” recipes so I wanted to try some healthier ones that we can have over the summer.

I had a bag of frozen mango in my freezer and knew it would make the best sorbet to enjoy in the warm weather.

How To Make Mango Sorbet in the Ninja Creami

It’s honestly so simple and the frozen mango is the only ingredient! But here’s the step by step instructions that I followed to make it.

It might seem strange to defrost the frozen mango, only to freeze it again but there is logic to this step! The Creami machine doesn’t do well with large chunks of frozen fruit as they can damage the blade. So I left it to defrost and then chopped it into small pieces.

  1. Leave the frozen mango out of the freezer for about an hour to defrost.
  1. Use a knife to chop/mash the mango into very small pieces.
  1. Add it to the tub and freezer for 24 hours.
  1. Blend on FULL and SORBET mode.

And it’s ready to enjoy! Absolutely delicious on a sunny summer’s day.

Ninja Creami Tubs

My Ninja Creami came with three tubs but I bought these extra tubs so that I can keep several bases in the freezer ready to use.

Storing Leftovers

Leftover sorbet can be returned to the freezer in the tub.

Leave the sorbet to defrost for about 10 minutes before eating it. You can also put it back into the machine, blending on a RE-SPIN mode if you prefer it softer.

Variations

I obviously kept this recipe super simple with just one ingredient but you can vary the flavour a little in a few different ways.

Add the juice of 1 lime to the mango before freezing.

Make a coconut version but adding coconut milk to the chopped mango before freezing.
