With the weather being so nice at the moment I’m really glad I invested in the Ninja Creami Deluxe a few weeks back. It’s a big purchase, both in terms of cost and the space it takes up but we’ve used it loads so I definitely think it was worth it.

A lot of the recipes I’m seeing online are from other countries with ingredients that you might not get here, so I thought I would share some UK recipes here for anyone that’s interested.

Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami

My daughter loves mint choc chip ice cream and asked me to try to make it. The recipe makes two bases. I use this base for most of the ice cream flavours as it’s just a simple vanilla flavoured base.

Then you add different mix ins after blending to get different flavoured ice creams. Some step by step instructions are below and the full instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  1. Add sweetened condensed milk, double cream and milk to two freezer tubs.
  1. Freeze for 24 hours.
  1. Blend on Ice Cream mode.
  1. Add chocolate chips, green food colouring and mint extract and blend on Mix-In mode.

These are the mix-in’s I used. I’ve listed the amounts in the recipe card down below but feel free to adjust depending on how green you want the ice cream to be and how much mint flavouring.

Ingredients for Homemade Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream made in the Ninja Creami laid out on a kitchen worktop.

I also added a few extra chocolate chips to the top before serving.

Absolutely delicious and such a nice treat in this heat!

Ninja Creami Tubs

My Ninja Creami came with three tubs but I bought these extra tubs so that I can keep several bases in the freezer ready to use.

Storage

Leftover ice cream can be returned to the freezer in the tub.

Leave the ice cream to defrost for about 10 minutes before eating it. You can also put it back into the machine, blending on a RE-SPIN mode if you prefer it softer.

I’m going to be sharing more Ninja Creami Recipes over the next few weeks so you can check them all out here – Ninja Creami Recipes
