Description
The best Christmas party snack. Nutella sandwiched between puff pastry, cut into star shapes and baked in a wreath shape.
Ingredients
- 2 rolls of puff pastry
- 6 tbsp Nutella
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp icing sugar
Instructions
- Unroll one piece of puff pastry and spread the Nutella on top of it.
- Unroll the second piece of puff pastry and place this on top, pressing down everything together.
- Use a medium sized star cookie cutter to cut out the star shapes.
- Take a piece of parchment paper and a large dinner plate.
- Draw around the edge of the plate so that you have a perfect circle marked out on the paper.
- Arrange the stars on the paper, following the circle shape round and overlapping the stars slightly.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl with a fork and brush onto the top of the pastry stars.
- Lift up the parchment paper and transfer to a baking tray.
- Bake in the oven at 200c fan for 15 minutes.
- When cooked, remove from the oven. You can serve the pastry wreath on the paper you cooked it on or you can transfer it to a board or plate.
- Dust with a little icing sugar on top.
