Description

An easy baking recipe to make with the kids. Jam Tarts with just two ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 375g shortcrust pastry
  • 150g jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c fan.
  2. Use an 8cm cutter to cut out 12 circles from the pastry.
  3. Press each of the circles into a muffin or cupcake tin. You don’t have to push them all the way in.
  4. Add 2 tsp of jam to each of the pastry circles.
  5. Bake in the oven for 13-14 minutes.
  6. Allow the tarts to cool for a few minutes in the tin before removing. The pastry will shrink a little which makes it easier for them to remove. And also the jam will set whilst cooling.

Notes

These Jam Tarts will keep in an airtight container for 2 days.

They can also be frozen for 2 months. Defrost at room temperature in 3-4 hours.
